Dale “The Chief” McIntosh was a player respected and feared in equal measure during his days as a rampaging number eight for Pontypridd.
After retiring and becoming a coach, McIntosh is still as physically imposing as he was in his pomp at Sardis Road.
Wales Under 18 coach Gruff Rees has named 11 Cardiff Blues academy players in his 30-man squad for the forthcoming international season.
Rees, who spoke about the development process in an interview with The XV last month, selected the players from a preliminary group of 52 players.
